Pricing FAQ
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades are prorated immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the
current billing cycle. Cancellations are no-refund for partial months.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export the full state (Dexie + localStorage + event store + knowledge index +
memory store + approval routes + policies + department packs) as a single JSON file at
any time. On cancellation, your data is preserved for 30 days, then permanently
deleted. Sidian does not retain customer data after the 30-day grace period.
Do you offer annual discounts?
Yes — 20% off on annual. Multi-year: 25% off (2yr), 30% off (3yr). The annual toggle
defaults to "annual" on the pricing page.
Is there a free trial of Business?
Yes — a 30-day pilot on your data. The Sidian solutions team helps with onboarding,
the 9-step intake, the first Department Pack, and the first approval routes. The pilot
converts to Business or downgrades to Team at the end.
What is the orchestration margin?
5% on top of the model's list price. It covers the provider runtime (M-PROV2), the
event-sourced autonomous runtime (M-EVT), the adaptive tool runtime (M-TOOLRT2), the
chief chat runtime (M-CHATRT), and the work-run checkpoint service (M-CKPT). The
margin is on the provider cost, not on the seat cost.
Can I bring my own model?
Yes. On Business, you can use a private LLM gateway (Azure, Bedrock, vLLM, llama.cpp).
On any plan, you can use a local model with BYO compute. The provider runtime is an
adapter pattern, so switching providers is a one-day exercise.
How is Sidian different from a per-seat tool like Notion?
Sidian is the AI layer; Notion is the doc layer. They compose. Sidian is also the
chief-of-staff and the operating-system layer. Notion is for documents; Sidian is for
the work that flows through them.
How is Sidian different from a per-call tool like Lindy?
Sidian is the company OS; Lindy is one personal assistant. They compose. A 10-person
company using Sidian has one Chief Agent and 30+ specialist agents coordinating work;
a 10-person company using Lindy has 10 personal assistants that don't know about each
other.
What if I need a custom Department Pack?
Self-service via JSON import/export on Business (free). Sidian solutions team authors
a custom pack with you on Enterprise ($5,000 per pack, one-time fee, includes 90 days
of support for revisions).
What if I need a feature that's on Enterprise but I'm on Team?
Talk to us. We move you up. We don't move features down.
Do you have a startup discount?
Yes — 50% off Team for 12 months for funded startups under 20 people. Apply with a
1-page deck. Once-a-year approval. When the startup raises a Series A or reaches 20
people, they migrate to Business at list price.
Do you have a nonprofit or academic discount?
Verified 501(c)(3): 50% off Business. Accredited universities: free Starter, 50% off
Team. Apply with a verification document.
Do you have multi-region or data residency?
Enterprise only. EU and US regions at launch; APAC on the roadmap.
What's the SLA?
Starter and Team: best-effort, community support. Business: 4h business hours, 1h
critical. Enterprise: 1h business hours, 1h critical (15min critical above $100k/yr).
Is there a usage cap on the provider pass-through?
No hard cap. The included amount is a soft quota for the calculator. Overage is
pay-as-you-go at the model's list price + 5%.
